We know this can be a lot of new information. Check out some of the questions others just like you have asked us in the past.
Your CardioFlux membership includes a pre-fixed number of regular scans, unlimited access to your data via your CardioFlux account, and at least one free consult per year.
There is almost no prep required prior to your CardioFlux visits. There are no dietary restrictions or activity limits and fasting isn’t required either.
In order for our CardioFlux MCG device to acquire a clean scan of your heart’s function, you’ll be asked to remove any metal from your person right before your scan. Since clothing items can sometimes contain the kind of metal we’d like to remove (e.g., hair pins, underwires in bras, complex jewelry), some visitors prefer to “de-magnetize” at home before arriving for their visit.
For a complete guide to de-magnetizing before a CardioFlux visit, including a suggested list of items to avoid wearing, check out our Metal Checklist here.
CardioFlux MCG scans are both quick and simple, and generally, your typical in-person CardioFlux visit should take no more than 15 minutes out of your day.
The scan itself is entirely rest-based, where you’ll be asked to lay down on a bed that is then inserted slowly into the CardioFlux MCG device. The machine is completely silent during operation, so our device operator will stay in the room with you the entire time.
At most, you should be in the device for no more than 3 minutes total, and during that time, you can feel free to breathe normally and remain generally relaxed while inside the machine.
CardioFlux MCG is one of the safest tests for your heart that is available today. CardioFlux MCG machines do not emit anything, including ionizing radiation, so almost anyone can receive a scan.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that the presence of any metal above the waist can significantly distort any measurements made using CardioFlux MCG. While the presence of this metal is not a safety hazard in any way, metal prevents CardioFlux MCG from being able to measure your heart’s function. For this reason, those with active implants, like pacemakers, will not receive useful data from a scan.
CardioFlux is FSA/HSA eligible. You may request a paper copy of your receipt during any scheduled CardioFlux appointments, and an itemized receipt is always available in your CardioFlux account.
Our team is hard at work finding new ways to make CardioFlux available to more and more people. You can view all of our current locations here, and if you don’t see your city on the map, you can join our official waitlist to be notified when we arrive in your area.
